Hi-Tech Steel Services Ltd was set up in 1992 to harness the talents of a management team with strong experience within the steel industry. The prime objective was to develop a more service and quality orientated company in certain key markets, whilst focusing on delivering unrivalled quality, flexibility, and reliability.

Growth has been maintained consistently through these early years and the business has continued to attract financial backing, which has made the latest investments possible. The high level of investment has been distributed between all three sites into a variety of modern equipment to increase volume supplies for key customers.

Now employing more than 100 people, the company has a combined capacity to process over 8000 tonnes of strip mill products per month.

Our client base consists of many successful companies in sectors such as the Computer Industry, Teletronics, Automotive, Heat & Vent, Domestic Appliances, and Office Furniture to name just a few.

Quality

Hi-Tech Steel is an ISO 9002 registered company meaning that each operative undergoes a quality awareness programme on a regular basis. The high level of investment ensures operatives can concentrate on visual inspection procedures during processing.

Auto stacking reduces handling and helps ensure the quality achieved at the blade inspection area goes through to the finished, parcelled product as it leaves the machine. Presentation and packing is made to the customer's own requirements.

  • Coil weight capacity up to 25 tonnes
  • Variety of equipment for processing:
    • Durmech multi-strand blanking line on 5 cuts for 4 widths, 1500mm x 2mm
    • Cut to length decoil line up to 16 tonnes.
    • 10 tonne capacity multi-strand blanking line on 4 cuts for 3 widths, 1500mm x 2mm.
    • Guillotines able to cut 300mm x 6mm with tolerance of +/- 0.2mm
    • Slitting Line - 1500mm x 3.2mm max, with 23 slits.
  • 24 hour turn-round on orders, subject to steel availability
  • 3 Locations working flexible shift patterns to cover 24 hour production each working day.
  • Direct access to Corus stock for call off.
  • Presentation and packing is made to customer's own requirements.
